Some styles and trends are created in the design studios of high-end designers while other styles are copied and mass-produced by apparel manufacturers.

People are often influenced by the fashion of celebrities and models, especially youngster. This trend is sometimes referred to as the cult of fashion. A person who follows the current fashions is often criticized by other people as being a “fashion victim” or a “fashionista”.

Some fashion designers create trends, while others simply replicate existing ones. Fashion also reflects the times and can be a symbol of a particular generation or time period. Another important influence is zeitgeist, wherein a certain period or event gives rise to a specific fashion style.

Many of the current fashions are created and spread by media outlets such as television shows, newspapers, magazines, and internet blogs. These outlets offer information and guidance about new clothing trends. These trends can vary widely by geographic location and social class.

The fashion industry is a major source of income for many countries around the world. It is a complex phenomenon, and the latest styles can quickly become outdated. Therefore, it is important for consumers to be aware of the different trends. They must keep in mind that a good-looking outfit is not necessarily fashionable, and they should avoid dressing like a doppelganger of someone else.
