Entertainment, or amusement, is the process of providing enjoyment and laughter in some form. It can take many forms, from an individual choosing to entertain themselves from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; or a restaurant providing dining and entertainment for two; to a performance by professionals intended for thousands, or a global audience. It also has a serious purpose, for example in ceremonies, celebrations and religious festivals; and in satire and other forms of intellectual growth. It may even include a learning experience, such as in the case of education or training. It is often a mixture of all these factors.
